God looks upon us in our lowly circumstances and
sympathizes with us. He pities and
comforts us when we are disheartened. He
pities us when we fall by our own doing, and helps us to rise up. He pities and teaches us when we are weak in
knowledge. When we offend Him, He forgives
us upon admission of our wrongdoing. He
chastises us when we keep doing wrong, but pities us when feel the pain of His
chastisement. What a loving Father!
Reflection
Are you a child of God? To be a child of God is a great blessing. All
people are God’s beloved creation, but not all are His children. We become children of God after we are born-again, because
we are adopted into His family through our relationship with Jesus Christ (John 1:12). In Jesus, we become children of God the Father, through faith (Galatians 3:26).
