GOD is Love. ~ (1 John 4:16)

A fellow human being’s love for us is often borne out of a need or a condition.  God has nothing He needs from us; as a matter of fact, it is the other way round, yet, He loves us so dearly.  Love is not just what God expresses to us daily; Love is who He is.

Reflection
God loves every being He created and wants an eternal relationship with us (John 3:16).  The way to reciprocate God's love for you in the first instance, is to seek to be reconciled to Him.  There is need for reconciliation because we were all born with a sinful nature, and therefore separated from Him in our sinful state (Romans 5:12).  It is Jesus Christ who reconciles man to the Father. The Father sent His Son, Jesus Christ to pay for our sins, so that we can be at peace with Him, enjoy His presence in our lives, and ultimately spend eternity with Him in Heaven.

It is not as complicated as you thought to receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour.  Come to Him today!

JESUS CHRIST - The Nail in a Sure Place (Isaiah 22:23)

Jesus Christ is the One on whom our souls are secure.  As a nail holds objects firmly in place, so does Jesus hold our lives.  He is the Sure and Firm Anchor that holds all that pertains to our well-being together (Colossians 1:17, Hebrews 1:3); the Only One that can be relied on for stability, support, and security.  You will not fall if your faith is hung upon Him, and you live in accordance with His teachings. Those who neglect His salvation and adhere to other doctrines are ultimately led to the path of destruction.

Seek the Only Way to salvation, the Truth, and the Life, today!

JESUS CHRIST is the True Light. ~ (John 1:9)

Jesus Christ is the Source and Dispenser of light.  His light outshines the sun, moon, stars, and all forms of physical lights.  Satan tries to imitate Jesus Christ with false doctrine and works, but he is not the True Light.

If you have a relationship with Christ, His light will shine through you.  Your life will reflect His beauty, compassion, and purity, because you were ordained to be the light of the world (Matthew 5:14).  When the character of Jesus Christ is revealed in you, others will be attracted to the One whom you speak about and serve.

Is Jesus Christ the Lord of your life?

Understanding the Trinity: Three Persons in One God

The concept of the Trinity can be confusing to a new convert or an unbeliever who is aspiring to become a Christian.

There is just ONE TRUE GOD that has ever existed. He alone is to be acknowledged, served, and worshipped, bearing in mind the trinity of persons in the Godhead. You will see references made to JESUS CHRIST (God the Son), HOLY SPIRIT (God the Holy Spirit) often on this blog. For clarification, they are One with God the Father. All three together are called GOD. There are not three Gods but three persons in one God, having the same nature and attributes. Each is distinct but inseparable. They act in complete harmony.

The Trinity is admittedly a difficult concept for anyone to understand and explain, and will always be a mystery. However it is implied in the Old Testament (see Genesis 1:26, Genesis 11:7, Isaiah 6:8, Isaiah 9:6), and revealed in the New Testament (see Matthew 28:19, John 14:26, John 14:23, Reference Acts 5:3-5).

Shalom!

GOD lifts up all who are bowed down. ~ (Psalm 145:14)

God strengthens the weak and those who lack the courage to do what is required of them.  We may find ourselves in this situation when we are in an unknown territory, or have limited resources to do what we need to do.  Fear not and be of good courage; the Lord is your Strength.  Commit the situation into His hands. He will encourage, and lift you up.

Reflection:
You cannot enjoy the presence of God in your life without accepting His Son, Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. Everything the Father does for humanity, He does through His Son (1 Corinthians 8:6).  All His promises to us are, 'Yes', in Jesus. Our "Amen" ascends to Him through Jesus (2 Corinthians 1:20).  Make a decision to surrender all to Jesus Christ today.

JESUS CHRIST is the Author of Eternal Salvation to All that Obey Him. ~ (Hebrews 5:9)

According to Acts 10:42, Jesus decides who goes to heaven, and who goes to hell.  No one else was given this authority.  This is why it is important to accept the Gift of Salvation that was offered to us.  Our salvation begins the moment we accept Jesus as our Lord and Saviour, and continues as long as we live in obedience.  When we live in obedience to His Word, we are assured of eternal life (Matthew 7:21).

JESUS CHRIST was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification. ~ (Romans 4:25)

Jesus died for our sins, for us to be reconciled with God, whereby we are said to be justified.  When we are justified, we are declared righteous in the presence of God and pardoned of all confessed sins. We are treated as righteous, not because we are, in the real sense of the word, but because Jesus presents us as such when we have faith in the work of salvation that He completed on the cross, and accept Him as our Lord and Saviour.

Isn't this so wonderful!

When a man's ways please GOD, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him. ~ (Proverbs 16:7)

God can cause your unrepentant enemies to bend their rules for you.  They will be at peace with you, and begin to work in your favor.

Pharaoh's daughter had compassion on Moses when she found him in the river.  She knew he was a male Hebrew child who should have been killed by the orders of the king, but saw to it that he was cared for (Exodus 2:5-10). That was the Lord's doing. Moses, whom He had chosen to deliver the Israelites from Egypt was raised in Pharaoh’s place as a Prince of Egypt.  His divine plan prevailed as Israel’s deliverer was loved, groomed, and cared for in the enemy’s den.

Reflection
There is nothing we can do to please an infinitely holy God, if we are yet to completely surrender to Jesus Christ, His Son. Neither our good works nor our impeccable character can please Him in our unsaved state.  The Bible says they are like filthy rags before Him (Isaiah 64:6).  Jesus alone makes us righteous, for He is our righteousness (1 Corinthians 1:30). Our ways give God the Father great pleasure, when we accept Jesus as our Lord and Saviour and commit to a lifestyle of holiness.

To the pure, GOD shows Himself pure; but to the crooked, He shows Himself shrewd. ~ (Psalm 18:26)

God shows Himself pure to those who are pure in thoughts, motives, and conduct.  He is hostile to those who are not straightforward in their dealings. All human beings are born with a natural tendency to sin because of the sin of Adam (Romans 5:12).  Not one person is absolved from the consequences of Adam’s sin. We all committed sins at some point in our lives because of the impurity of our hearts, and fell short of God’s glory (1 John 1:8-9, Romans 3:23-24).

A new heart is required to be pure in thoughts, motives, and conduct, and it is given only when one surrenders to Jesus Christ.  No one has the strength of their own to be pure in their sinful unsaved state.  We are cleansed of all sins and become new creatures when we surrender to Him (2 Corinthians 5:17).  It is not as complicated as you thought to receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour today.

GOD gives power to get wealth. ~ (Deuteronomy 8:18)

Wealth is good if it is not the center of one's life, and is put to good use.  God puts wealth in the hands of certain individuals for two main reasons:  to propagate the Gospel, and to offer generous help to those who are in need (particularly those who are poor) ~ 1 Timothy 6:17-19.

If you are connected to Jesus Christ, true wealth will be yours if you desire it, live according to God's plan for your life, and your mind is set on Heavenly things.  God is the source of true wealth, and it is He who gives us the strength, vigor, wisdom, and knowledge to acquire it.  Without His breath in us and His sustenance, how can true wealth be acquired?

It is important to note also, that we are accountable for all the resources God has blessed us with.  Make a vow to Him to use all He has given you for His glory, and He will prosper your ways.  Be ready to work hard as He opens doors of opportunities for you.  He who is slow in his work becomes poor, but the hand of the diligent makes rich (Proverbs 10:4).

Reflection
Not all wealth is from God.  Some acquire wealth through unscrupulous means. Ill-gotten wealth has no lasting value, and is bound to lead a person to the path of destruction (Proverbs 10:2).

All good and perfect gifts come from God the Father through Jesus Christ His Son (James 1:17, 1 Corinthians 8:6), and it is by Him that they are maintained (Colossians 1:17).  These blessings make you rich without painful toil, but you cannot receive them without accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. Make a decision to surrender all to Him today.

GOD's plans cannot be thwarted. ~ (Job 42:2)

God has a glorious plan for the life of each of His children (Jeremiah 29:11), and nothing can stand against it.  You were not created by mistake. Whatever God's plan is for your life shall be accomplished. Sometimes we pray amiss and our prayers remain unanswered because what we are asking God is contrary to His will for us.  He wants only the best for those who love and trust Him.

Reflection
If you love and trust God, you will love His only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ, whom He sent to die for your sins. You will accept Him as your personal Lord and Saviour, to reign over your life. All blessings come from God the Father through His Son (1 Corinthians 8:6), and it is by Him that they are sustained (Colossians 1:17).

JESUS CHRIST is the Holy One of GOD the Father. ~ (Mark 1:24)

The Confession of the Demon

The evil spirit that possessed the man in the synagogue recognized the holiness of Jesus Christ, and addressed Him as the 'Holy One of God'.  Such acknowledgement coming from a demon speaks volumes.  The words are true, but spoken out of fear. It is no wonder then that it vanished when Jesus rebuked it.

The only place satan can reside and fully operate, is in a spiritually-filthy environment.  We can be holy if we surrender all to the 'Holy One of God' and give Him full control of our lives.  Satan hates holiness with a passion.  He cannot reside in our bodies, souls, or spirit if we are holy.

Reflection
Holiness is the key to truly enjoying the presence of God in our lives.  The Bible says without holiness, we cannot see God (Hebrews 12:14).  Come to Jesus Christ today; come! He is waiting to have you in His arms.

Abba, Father! ~ (Romans 8:15)

Abba, is an intimate Name for our Heavenly Father.  It means 'Father'.

When you become a child of God by reason of your salvation, everything about you becomes His: your life, body, time, children, possessions, achievements, etc. It is good to know that you no longer need to worry about them, for they are absolutely in His control and under His watchful eyes, unless of course you refuse to let Him have full control.  Be reminded of this sovereign characteristic of God when you feel unduly burdened with the cares of the world.

If you are yet to surrender your life to Jesus Christ, you are a beloved creature of God, just like every other creature, but not His child.  To be a child of God is a great blessing.  We are adopted into His family through our relationship with Jesus Christ (John 1:12).  In Jesus, we become children of God the Father, through faith (Galatians 3:26).

GOD pities those who fear Him, as a father pities his children ~ (Psalm 103:13)

God looks upon us in our lowly circumstances and sympathizes with us.  He pities and comforts us when we are disheartened.  He pities us when we fall by our own doing, and helps us to rise up.  He pities and teaches us when we are weak in knowledge.  When we offend Him, He forgives us upon admission of our wrongdoing.  He chastises us when we keep doing wrong, but pities us when feel the pain of His chastisement.  What a loving Father!

Reflection
Are you a child of God?  To be a child of God is a great blessing.  All people are God’s beloved creation, but not all are His children.  We become children of God after we are born-again, because we are adopted into His family through our relationship with Jesus Christ (John 1:12).  In Jesus, we become children of God the Father, through faith (Galatians 3:26).

GOD works out everything in conformity with the purpose of His will. ~ (Ephesians 1:11)

God created each of His creatures for His own purpose.  Both good and bad situations also occur to fulfill His purpose.  Nothing happens to us in life that is not permissible by God.  As His beloved, we trust that every unpleasant situation will always work out for good because we love Him (Romans 8:28).

REFLECTION
You cannot claim to love God if you remain separated from Him.  We are said to be separated from Him when our sins are yet to be cleansed by the precious Blood of His Son Jesus Christ.  Separation from God also means that we are excluded from all the wonderful plans and blessings He has for us as His beloved creatures.  God can turn an unpleasant situation in your life into a testimony.  However, the wall that separates you from Him needs to be broken down first. Come to Jesus today!

GOD is known as 'The Mighty One of Jacob'. ~ (Isaiah 60:16)

God identified Himself as "The Mighty One of Jacob".

Jacob, the grandson of Abraham started out as a trickster.  He lived his life deceiving others to get by, but God visited and redeemed him.  God gave Jacob a new name and changed his life (Genesis 32:27-29).  Through him, the twelve tribes of Israel came into being to fulfill God’s promise to Abraham that his descendants would be as numerous as the uncountable stars in the sky (Genesis 15:5).

The God who redeemed Jacob can visit your foundation and give you a new beginning in spite of your past sins or dark secrets.  However, you must first repent of those sins and seek His forgiveness through Jesus Christ His Son, who died on the Cross of Calvary to pay for the sins of mankind.  His Blood cleanses all manner of sins.

Many seek the ruler's favor, but every man's judgment comes from GOD. ~ (Proverbs 29:26)

We set ourselves up for disappointments when we rely on the princes of the world rather than God, to make things happen for us.  Do you have an unfavorable judgment passed against you or a pending case in court? Look up to no man but the Righteous Judge.  He is the only One who can change things around in your favor.  Likewise, if you are guilty of an offence but pronounced innocent to the detriment of someone else, you are guilty in the eyes of God.  We should remember always that He judges in righteousness, and commit to  a lifestyle of holiness.

REFLECTION:
All good and perfect gifts come from God the Father through Jesus Christ His Son (James 1:17, 1 Corinthians 8:6), and it is by Him that they are maintained (Colossians 1:17).  These blessings make you rich without painful toil, but you cannot receive them without accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. GOD sets apart the godly for Himself. ~ (Psalm 4:3)

God sets us apart for Himself when we are born-again.  We are then anointed and empowered to fulfill His will, and the purpose for which we are still on the face of the earth.
When God sets us apart, we can no longer do what others are doing.  We may be required to do away with certain things and activities.  God can set us apart to be used mightily, and thus bring us into the spotlight for His glory, but it will have to be on His own terms and conditions.
REFLECTION
It is not too late to fulfill the wonderful plan God has for your life.  Make a decision to accept His son Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour today, to be His adopted child, and be set apart for great things.

GOD smites. ~ (Ezekiel 7:9)

God loves and wraps His loving arms around His creatures, but He also smites. He speaks of Himself in the verse above. God inflicts punishment on the wicked for their sins.  When He smites, they are destroyed.  The acceptance of the Gift of Salvation is the only way to escape His wrath.  Salvation through Christ reconciles us with God.  Do you have Christ?

REFLECTION
A lot of people get it all wrong when references are made to certain attributes of God in the Old Testament. They do not want them brought up. We need to be reminded that, for as long one is yet to be born-again, they are not freed from the old covenant. They are living under the Law, and the Lord literally treats them as such.

When you surrender to Jesus you are no longer living under the Law, but Grace.  Jesus is fulfilled the law for us and freed us from the dominion of the old testament. Through Him, God the Father forgives our sins and chooses to forget them (Jeremiah 31:30-34 and Hebrews 8:8-12).

Jesus came so you might have life and have it abundantly.  He made a huge sacrifice on the cross when He died for your sins.  Make the decision to surrender all to Him today.

GOD protects the simple-hearted. ~ (Psalm 116:6)

God protects those who have the mind of a child.  These are people without vengeance, jealousy, or hatred.  They are gentle, humble, and pure in heart.  They fear the Lord, obey His commands, seek Him wholeheartedly, and yield readily to His will.

REFLECTION
The aforementioned are all traits of a person who is filled with the Spirit of God, known also as the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:19-23).  A person is filled with the Holy Spirit only when he has totally surrendered to Jesus Christ.

It is not as complicated to receive Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour.  Make that life-changing decision today!

JESUS CHRIST is the Sure Foundation. ~ (Isaiah 28:16)

Jesus Christ should be the basis for everything we are, and all that we do. Some people put their hope in other gods, false beliefs, fellow human beings, the world system, and other personal desires.  These are bound to fail them.  Such individuals become victims of the snares of satan and eventually live in frustration.  When we reject Jesus Christ and choose not to build on Him, we would labor all we can, but our harvest would be a load of grief.

You will not fail if all that concerns you is established upon the doctrine of Jesus Christ.  Submitting to His authority enables you to stand firm when you encounter the challenges of life.  With Him, you will overcome whatever comes your way.  He will never forsake you.

GOD gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning. ~ (Daniel 2:21)

God gives wisdom to those who are wise enough to know how important it is, and seek Him for it.  If you are striving for excellence, it takes discernment to know that you can reach the top with ease if God is on your side, while others are struggling to get there.

It is good to be hardworking but wisdom is what makes you extremely successful in your endeavors. James 1:5 says wisdom is ours for the asking.  Ask God for it.  He will give it to you.
REFLECTION
All good things and perfect gifts come from God the Father through Jesus Christ His Son (1 Corinthians 8:6), and it is by Him that they are maintained (Colossians 1:17).  These blessings make you rich without painful toil, but you cannot receive them without accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour.  Make a decision to surrender all to Him today.

GOD is a Refuge for the oppressed. ~ (Psalm 9:9)

The oppressed are individuals who are dejected, weak, afflicted, crushed, bowed down by satan, trampled upon or hurt by others, and have no power or resources to stand.  Those who are being taken advantage of by individuals that are more powerful, and those who are burdened by the guilt of sins are also said to be oppressed.  Do not be dismayed if you are going through any of these tough situations. You will find rest in the arms of the One who has the power to save, defend, and vindicate you - THE ONE AND ONLY TRUE GOD!

REFLECTION
There is only one way through which you can enjoy the glorious visitation of God the Father. The way is the Gift of Salvation by faith in His Son Jesus Christ (John 14:6).  He died on the Cross of Calvary so that you would have life and have it more abundantly. It is not as complicated as you thought to accept Him as your Lord and Saviour.  Make that life-changing decision today!

GOD chose those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith, and to inherit the kingdom He promised those who love Him. ~ (James 2:5)

God delights in using unpopular and insignificant people for His glory.  You may be considered insignificant by those around you.  Friends, family, and others may look down on you for certain reasons, but God looks beyond the physical.  He weighs the heart and sees more in you.
God used a young maid to link an Army General to his miracle (2 Kings 5:1-14).  Two things are apparent here: the vessel was young, and she was a maid.  She was no doubt poor in the eyes of Naaman and the King of Syria, but had so much faith in God.
Position yourself to be a vessel unto honor, and ask God to use you for His glory.  He will hearken to your voice.
REFLECTION
You cannot enjoy any of the great things that God has in store for you as His most beloved creature, without accepting His Son as your Lord and Saviour. Make a decision to surrender all to Jesus Christ today.

GOD confides in those who fear Him. He makes His covenant known to them. ~ (Psalm 25:14)

Those who fear the Lord are admitted into intimate friendship with Him.  The Lord shares secrets with them and makes His will known to them.  In Genesis 18:17, God considered sharing His plan to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah with Abraham before He put it into action.  The Lord can reveal secrets to you that will catapult you to greatness.  How much do you fear Him?
Having the fear of God means you strive to please Him daily. You cannot claim to have pleased Him in any way if you have not had your sins washed away by accepting His free Gift of Salvation.

It is not as complicated as you thought to surrender to Jesus. Make that decision today!

GOD bestows favor and honor. ~ (Psalm 84:11)

Accepting Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour opens the door to God’s abundant blessings. God bestows His favor on us primarily because He chooses to.  He also bestows His favor because of His covenant with us.  Favor and honor are connected.  When He gives one, He gives the other.
Note:  All things from God the Father come through Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 8:6), and it is by Him that they are held together (Colossians 1:17).
It is not as complicated as you thought to surrender your life to Jesus.  Come to Him Today!

GOD reveals secrets. ~ (Daniel 2:28)

God can show you the mystery to a knotty case that will make all the difference.  If He shows you a glimpse of your home in heaven, for example, it is doubtful that you will ever want to go back to the world or continue to live in sin.  He can reveal secrets meant for your eyes or ears only that will bring an end to a huge problem that seems to have taken over your life.

When God revealed to me in 2009 that He would use me for His glory, I held on to what He disclosed to me in spite of the intense persecution and trials that I went through for years, after the revelation.  As I encountered opposition from the powers of darkness, what kept me going was the revelation I received.

Note
God shares secrets with those who fear Him, and makes His will known to them (Psalm 25:14). They have this privilege because they have been admitted into an intimate relationship with Him.  You cannot be intimate with the Father if you keep rejecting His Son, Jesus Christ.  Make a decision to surrender all to Jesus today!
