GOD has our breath in His hand. ~ (Daniel 5:23)

God is the Giver of life. He created us all, and has the power to call us home whenever He pleases. It is important to remember that our time here on earth is limited, and should be used for worthy purposes. Every minute counts; tomorrow is not promised to anyone.

Reflection
Where would you spend eternity if something unexpected happened to you today? (James 4:13-15)

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ; that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. (John 3:16)

The King of Glory ~ (Psalm 24:10)

The glory of God is more than just one of His attributes. His glory encompasses His honor, His majesty, His strength, His perfection, His beauty, His sovereignty, His justice, His righteousness, and His faithfulness.

The glory of God is like light that repels darkness on arrival. Human beings can lose everything they have: their status in the society, reputation, finances, and everything else they possess, and still be human beings, but God can never lose part of what constitutes His glory and still be God. This is why He will never share His glory with any man or idol. What a Mighty God!

GOD is gracious and full of compassion. (Psalm 145:8)

It is God's nature to show excessive kindness to those who have a relationship with Him.  They experience uncommon favour as His children.  Are you a child of God?

Reflection
We all are God’s creatures; but we are not all His children. What qualifies you to be a child of God is your acceptance of His free Gift of Salvation. At that point, you are adopted into His Family. You also become a joint-heir with Jesus Christ (John 1:12-13, John 8:42).

It is not as complicated as you thought to receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. You can receive Him right where you are!

GOD is Light; in Him, is no darkness at all. ~ (1 John 1:5)

GOD is Light. He does not have the slightest speck of darkness in Him. His desire is for us to be the light of the world (Matthew 5:14). There is so much darkness in the world today because our enemy, Satan, is walking about like a roaring lion, gathering those he wants to spend eternity with in hell. His only mission here on earth is to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10).

Not having Jesus Christ in your life is the same as walking in darkness, and sitting in the shadow of death. Those who surrender to Jesus will come to the knowledge of the truth. They shall be set free from the power of darkness, and filled with light.

It is not as complicated as you thought to receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. You can receive Him right where you are!

GOD is Love. ~ (1 John 4:16)

A fellow human being’s love for us is often borne out of a need or a condition.  God has nothing He needs from us; as a matter of fact, it is the other way round, yet, He loves us so dearly.  Love is not just what God expresses to us daily; Love is who He is.

Reflection
God loves every being He created and wants an eternal relationship with us (John 3:16).  The way to reciprocate God's love for you in the first instance, is to seek to be reconciled to Him.  There is need for reconciliation because we were all born with a sinful nature, and therefore separated from Him in our sinful state (Romans 5:12).  It is Jesus Christ who reconciles man to the Father. The Father sent His Son, Jesus Christ to pay for our sins, so that we can be at peace with Him, enjoy His presence in our lives, and ultimately spend eternity with Him in Heaven.

It is not as complicated as you thought to receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour.  Come to Him today!

JESUS CHRIST - The Nail in a Sure Place (Isaiah 22:23)

Jesus Christ is the One on whom our souls are secure.  As a nail holds objects firmly in place, so does Jesus hold our lives.  He is the Sure and Firm Anchor that holds all that pertains to our well-being together (Colossians 1:17, Hebrews 1:3); the Only One that can be relied on for stability, support, and security.  You will not fall if your faith is hung upon Him, and you live in accordance with His teachings. Those who neglect His salvation and adhere to other doctrines are ultimately led to the path of destruction.

Seek the Only Way to salvation, the Truth, and the Life, today!

JESUS CHRIST is the True Light. ~ (John 1:9)

Jesus Christ is the Source and Dispenser of light.  His light outshines the sun, moon, stars, and all forms of physical lights.  Satan tries to imitate Jesus Christ with false doctrine and works, but he is not the True Light.

If you have a relationship with Christ, His light will shine through you.  Your life will reflect His beauty, compassion, and purity, because you were ordained to be the light of the world (Matthew 5:14).  When the character of Jesus Christ is revealed in you, others will be attracted to the One whom you speak about and serve.

Is Jesus Christ the Lord of your life?

Understanding the Trinity: Three Persons in One God

The concept of the Trinity can be confusing to a new convert or an unbeliever who is aspiring to become a Christian.

There is just ONE TRUE GOD that has ever existed. He alone is to be acknowledged, served, and worshipped, bearing in mind the trinity of persons in the Godhead. You will see references made to JESUS CHRIST (God the Son), HOLY SPIRIT (God the Holy Spirit) often on this blog. For clarification, they are One with God the Father. All three together are called GOD. There are not three Gods but three persons in one God, having the same nature and attributes. Each is distinct but inseparable. They act in complete harmony.

The Trinity is admittedly a difficult concept for anyone to understand and explain, and will always be a mystery. However it is implied in the Old Testament (see Genesis 1:26, Genesis 11:7, Isaiah 6:8, Isaiah 9:6), and revealed in the New Testament (see Matthew 28:19, John 14:26, John 14:23, Reference Acts 5:3-5).

Shalom!

GOD lifts up all who are bowed down. ~ (Psalm 145:14)

God strengthens the weak and those who lack the courage to do what is required of them.  We may find ourselves in this situation when we are in an unknown territory, or have limited resources to do what we need to do.  Fear not and be of good courage; the Lord is your Strength.  Commit the situation into His hands. He will encourage, and lift you up.

Reflection:
You cannot enjoy the presence of God in your life without accepting His Son, Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. Everything the Father does for humanity, He does through His Son (1 Corinthians 8:6).  All His promises to us are, 'Yes', in Jesus. Our "Amen" ascends to Him through Jesus (2 Corinthians 1:20).  Make a decision to surrender all to Jesus Christ today.

JESUS CHRIST is the Author of Eternal Salvation to All that Obey Him. ~ (Hebrews 5:9)

According to Acts 10:42, Jesus decides who goes to heaven, and who goes to hell.  No one else was given this authority.  This is why it is important to accept the Gift of Salvation that was offered to us.  Our salvation begins the moment we accept Jesus as our Lord and Saviour, and continues as long as we live in obedience.  When we live in obedience to His Word, we are assured of eternal life (Matthew 7:21).

JESUS CHRIST was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification. ~ (Romans 4:25)

Jesus died for our sins, for us to be reconciled with God, whereby we are said to be justified.  When we are justified, we are declared righteous in the presence of God and pardoned of all confessed sins. We are treated as righteous, not because we are, in the real sense of the word, but because Jesus presents us as such when we have faith in the work of salvation that He completed on the cross, and accept Him as our Lord and Saviour.

Isn't this so wonderful!

When a man's ways please GOD, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him. ~ (Proverbs 16:7)

God can cause your unrepentant enemies to bend their rules for you.  They will be at peace with you, and begin to work in your favor.

Pharaoh's daughter had compassion on Moses when she found him in the river.  She knew he was a male Hebrew child who should have been killed by the orders of the king, but saw to it that he was cared for (Exodus 2:5-10). That was the Lord's doing. Moses, whom He had chosen to deliver the Israelites from Egypt was raised in Pharaoh’s place as a Prince of Egypt.  His divine plan prevailed as Israel’s deliverer was loved, groomed, and cared for in the enemy’s den.

Reflection
There is nothing we can do to please an infinitely holy God, if we are yet to completely surrender to Jesus Christ, His Son. Neither our good works nor our impeccable character can please Him in our unsaved state.  The Bible says they are like filthy rags before Him (Isaiah 64:6).  Jesus alone makes us righteous, for He is our righteousness (1 Corinthians 1:30). Our ways give God the Father great pleasure, when we accept Jesus as our Lord and Saviour and commit to a lifestyle of holiness.

To the pure, GOD shows Himself pure; but to the crooked, He shows Himself shrewd. ~ (Psalm 18:26)

God shows Himself pure to those who are pure in thoughts, motives, and conduct.  He is hostile to those who are not straightforward in their dealings. All human beings are born with a natural tendency to sin because of the sin of Adam (Romans 5:12).  Not one person is absolved from the consequences of Adam’s sin. We all committed sins at some point in our lives because of the impurity of our hearts, and fell short of God’s glory (1 John 1:8-9, Romans 3:23-24).

A new heart is required to be pure in thoughts, motives, and conduct, and it is given only when one surrenders to Jesus Christ.  No one has the strength of their own to be pure in their sinful unsaved state.  We are cleansed of all sins and become new creatures when we surrender to Him (2 Corinthians 5:17).  It is not as complicated as you thought to receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour today.

GOD gives power to get wealth. ~ (Deuteronomy 8:18)

Wealth is good if it is not the center of one's life, and is put to good use.  God puts wealth in the hands of certain individuals for two main reasons:  to propagate the Gospel, and to offer generous help to those who are in need (particularly those who are poor) ~ 1 Timothy 6:17-19.

If you are connected to Jesus Christ, true wealth will be yours if you desire it, live according to God's plan for your life, and your mind is set on Heavenly things.  God is the source of true wealth, and it is He who gives us the strength, vigor, wisdom, and knowledge to acquire it.  Without His breath in us and His sustenance, how can true wealth be acquired?

It is important to note also, that we are accountable for all the resources God has blessed us with.  Make a vow to Him to use all He has given you for His glory, and He will prosper your ways.  Be ready to work hard as He opens doors of opportunities for you.  He who is slow in his work becomes poor, but the hand of the diligent makes rich (Proverbs 10:4).

Reflection
Not all wealth is from God.  Some acquire wealth through unscrupulous means. Ill-gotten wealth has no lasting value, and is bound to lead a person to the path of destruction (Proverbs 10:2).

All good and perfect gifts come from God the Father through Jesus Christ His Son (James 1:17, 1 Corinthians 8:6), and it is by Him that they are maintained (Colossians 1:17).  These blessings make you rich without painful toil, but you cannot receive them without accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. Make a decision to surrender all to Him today.

GOD's plans cannot be thwarted. ~ (Job 42:2)

God has a glorious plan for the life of each of His children (Jeremiah 29:11), and nothing can stand against it.  You were not created by mistake. Whatever God's plan is for your life shall be accomplished. Sometimes we pray amiss and our prayers remain unanswered because what we are asking God is contrary to His will for us.  He wants only the best for those who love and trust Him.

Reflection
If you love and trust God, you will love His only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ, whom He sent to die for your sins. You will accept Him as your personal Lord and Saviour, to reign over your life. All blessings come from God the Father through His Son (1 Corinthians 8:6), and it is by Him that they are sustained (Colossians 1:17).

JESUS CHRIST is the Holy One of GOD the Father. ~ (Mark 1:24)

The Confession of the Demon

The evil spirit that possessed the man in the synagogue recognized the holiness of Jesus Christ, and addressed Him as the 'Holy One of God'.  Such acknowledgement coming from a demon speaks volumes.  The words are true, but spoken out of fear. It is no wonder then that it vanished when Jesus rebuked it.

The only place satan can reside and fully operate, is in a spiritually-filthy environment.  We can be holy if we surrender all to the 'Holy One of God' and give Him full control of our lives.  Satan hates holiness with a passion.  He cannot reside in our bodies, souls, or spirit if we are holy.

Reflection
Holiness is the key to truly enjoying the presence of God in our lives.  The Bible says without holiness, we cannot see God (Hebrews 12:14).  Come to Jesus Christ today; come! He is waiting to have you in His arms.

Abba, Father! ~ (Romans 8:15)

Abba, is an intimate Name for our Heavenly Father.  It means 'Father'.

When you become a child of God by reason of your salvation, everything about you becomes His: your life, body, time, children, possessions, achievements, etc. It is good to know that you no longer need to worry about them, for they are absolutely in His control and under His watchful eyes, unless of course you refuse to let Him have full control.  Be reminded of this sovereign characteristic of God when you feel unduly burdened with the cares of the world.

If you are yet to surrender your life to Jesus Christ, you are a beloved creature of God, just like every other creature, but not His child.  To be a child of God is a great blessing.  We are adopted into His family through our relationship with Jesus Christ (John 1:12).  In Jesus, we become children of God the Father, through faith (Galatians 3:26).

GOD pities those who fear Him, as a father pities his children ~ (Psalm 103:13)

God looks upon us in our lowly circumstances and sympathizes with us.  He pities and comforts us when we are disheartened.  He pities us when we fall by our own doing, and helps us to rise up.  He pities and teaches us when we are weak in knowledge.  When we offend Him, He forgives us upon admission of our wrongdoing.  He chastises us when we keep doing wrong, but pities us when feel the pain of His chastisement.  What a loving Father!

Reflection
Are you a child of God?  To be a child of God is a great blessing.  All people are God’s beloved creation, but not all are His children.  We become children of God after we are born-again, because we are adopted into His family through our relationship with Jesus Christ (John 1:12).  In Jesus, we become children of God the Father, through faith (Galatians 3:26).

GOD works out everything in conformity with the purpose of His will. ~ (Ephesians 1:11)

God created each of His creatures for His own purpose.  Both good and bad situations also occur to fulfill His purpose.  Nothing happens to us in life that is not permissible by God.  As His beloved, we trust that every unpleasant situation will always work out for good because we love Him (Romans 8:28).

REFLECTION
You cannot claim to love God if you remain separated from Him.  We are said to be separated from Him when our sins are yet to be cleansed by the precious Blood of His Son Jesus Christ.  Separation from God also means that we are excluded from all the wonderful plans and blessings He has for us as His beloved creatures.  God can turn an unpleasant situation in your life into a testimony.  However, the wall that separates you from Him needs to be broken down first. Come to Jesus today!

GOD is known as 'The Mighty One of Jacob'. ~ (Isaiah 60:16)

God identified Himself as "The Mighty One of Jacob".

Jacob, the grandson of Abraham started out as a trickster.  He lived his life deceiving others to get by, but God visited and redeemed him.  God gave Jacob a new name and changed his life (Genesis 32:27-29).  Through him, the twelve tribes of Israel came into being to fulfill God’s promise to Abraham that his descendants would be as numerous as the uncountable stars in the sky (Genesis 15:5).

The God who redeemed Jacob can visit your foundation and give you a new beginning in spite of your past sins or dark secrets.  However, you must first repent of those sins and seek His forgiveness through Jesus Christ His Son, who died on the Cross of Calvary to pay for the sins of mankind.  His Blood cleanses all manner of sins.
