God hears the cry
of His people and answers their prayers.
However, there are limitations to what He will do. He will never violate
His covenant, alter what He has uttered, or be a part of anything that
contradicts His nature. If we ask God for example to curse the one He has
already blessed or ask Him to bless a fraudulent business, ministry etc., He
will not. Asking God to do things that will compromise His nature is asking Him
to vacate His throne; that will never happen!
Similarly, prayers that are contrary to His plan for us will remain unanswered in our own interest, even though we may not realize it. We should not be discouraged and conclude that it is only if our prayers are lengthy or said in a particular manner that we would receive from God. In most cases, when we are in right standing with Him and it seems He has said "No" to a request, there is always a good reason for it. He decides what is best for those who love and serve Him.
